If you are a web developer, you’ll probably agree that Firefox is a great browser. It generally follows the rules of HTML, CSS, and JS. It is fast and secure. It is highly customizable. And best of all, it is open source and has a huge library of add-ons that can be used to extend its functionality.

Firebug
The Firebug add-on is one of the most useful tools out there for analyzing web pages as you browse the internet. Some features include (1) an enhanced source-code view which enables easy live editing of HTML, CSS, and JS code, (2) a ruler and other tools for inspecting the placement of elements, and (3) a utility which analyzes all items on a page and shows how long each takes to download.

Live Pagerank
For those of use that are obsessed with Google pagerank, or often need to verify the pagerank of websites that we may wish to link to, this is a handy tool. When you install it, it displays a handy little pagerank icon in your browser which automatically displays the pagerank of the current page.
This add-on can be downloaded directly from the Firefox Add-on Directory.
Alexa Sparky
Similar to the Live Pagerank Add-on, Alexa Sparky displays a small little widget which displays the current Alexa traffic rank for the current web page.
To get this tool for your browser, you can download it from the Firefox Add-on Directory. (Note: When using it, website usage statistics are sent to Alexa.)

As a developer, sometimes it is necessary to edit cookies. Perhaps you’ve been locked out of an application and need to hack your way back in.
